Celebrate Earth Hour by participating in Campus Unplugged events - March 22 and 23

Each year, millions of individuals and organizations around the world set aside an hour to host events, switch off their lights, and make noise for climate change action. This year Earth Hour will take place at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 25.

In recognition of Earth Hour, the university’s Sustainability Committee has organized a series of Campus Unplugged events on Wednesday, March 22 and Thursday, March 23. The events are open to faculty, staff and students:

Glow and Flow Yoga

When: Wednesday, March 22 from 2 to 3 p.m.
Where: Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre, gyms 1 and 2

Wear your whitest and brightest for this black-lit yoga session featuring:

  • A darkroom.
  • A fun and upbeat playlist.
  • A bunch of yogis decked out in their best neon attire.

This flowing class is designed to get you moving, opening up and letting go of tension… all while having a great time.

No experience needed, but a sense of humor is recommended! Bring your own mat.

Absolute Mindfulness

When: Thursday, March 23 from noon to 1 p.m.
Where: (ACE)

Practice meditation in a completely silent, sound-absorbing room. Take a break from the outside world and join in on this one-of-a-kind experience.
