Indigenous Peoples History
June is National Indigenous History Month, where we take time to reflect and celebrate the contributions, culture, diversity, and history of Indigenous Peoples in Canada.
Each year, National Indigenous Peoples Day is celebrated on June 21 to celebrate and honour the rich diversity and traditions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis nations.
We recognize that reconciliation is an ongoing journey and that we need to continue to expand our knowledge and understanding of the past and the issues that Indigenous communities face today.
